Morris is one of the most popular players on the circuit, not only with the fans but also with his fellow competitors and he had a tremendous time at last summer’s World Championship where he made it all the way to the semi-finals. Always reckoned to be one of the top American players, Morris was again one of the stars of the show at last year’s Mosconi Cup, where he garnered another 100% record as Team USA steamrollered their European counterparts.

Rocket Rodney burst onto the pool scene in 1996 when he won the US Open title, one of the game’s ‘majors’. Just when he was gaining the momentum to establish himself in the top flight, Morris hit some legal problems that saw him take a four-year break from the game.

Showing tremendous fortitude though, he won virtually his first tournament back – the 2001 Sands Regency. Since then Morris has stayed in the upper echelons of the game and in March of this year he won the UPA Pro Tour Championship, beating Thorsten Hohmann in the final.
